Ensuring Optimal Protection for Wearers of Respiratory Protective Equipment

Ever since the introduction of face fit testing in 2002, as part of the COSHH regulations, the procedure is considered essential for making sure that the respiratory protective equipment in question is perfectly adapted to its user and therefore provides optimal protection. The need for this measure is significant; as no one's face is exactly the same as another's, each piece of respiratory protective equipment must be carefully adjusted to make sure that there are no leaks when using the instrument. No leaks, of course, means that the wearer receives maximum possible protection in hazardous environments.
