Now that the World Health Organization has re-confirmed the negative effects of red meats on our bodies, we should be looking even more carefully at substitutes for the nutrients that they give us. This is especially true in the case for protein. Our bodies need sufficient protein every day. Even though there are non-meat items that have protein, the quantities needed to be consumed are sometimes exorbitant in order to give us the amount we require. Therefore, nutritional supplementation is often recommended in order to maintain a sufficient level of protein intake.
